So late last night I had a very inspirational/random encounter in Jewel (I know right). This man that works there (who I always briefly talk to) came up to me and told me, man I see you in here all the time and I have always wanted to tell you, you look amazing. I thank him and kinda start walking away. He then proceeds to tell me, I use to look like you, all fit and handsome, but after 7 years of struggling with cancer and kemo I look like this, but hey at least I still worked a full time job here the whole time, right? I was kinda speechless at the time, but for some reason said, well if you ever want a workout buddy down the road when you get better let me know. He says, I may just take you up on that offer, and then tears up. I didnt know what to ask at that moment. This man proceeds to tell me that he is cancer free as of yesterday and would love, once he gets some strength back to be my lifting partner, so he could look like me again. I told him I would gladly be his new lifting partner. I also gave him mad props for working through his struggle with life. It was such a random yet eye opening encounter for me at jewel. I realized after that encounter with John, that I need to stop and smell the roses a little. I have so much to be thankful for in my life. Also, I shouldnt complain about the stupid stuff, because there is a lot To live for, and life is too short to hold back. What a beautiful end to my night. I woke up on the wrong side of the bed, but fell asleep on the right side of the bed later that night. Have a beautiful day!
