So let me get this right... We can all agree that violent riots, looting and destruction of property are not a good way to protest. So we urge the people standing with Ferguson to do it nonviolently. Cool. But then when they things like die-ins at the mall, sit-ins at public buildings, marches and protest on public streets and roads, etc... they get slammed because they are getting in your way and inconveniencing you. Um... thats the ENTIRE point of a protest. By definition it is a a statement or action to express disapproval of or objection to something. Its supposed to be public and in your face. Its suppose to disrupt your normal patterns and force you to pay attention. Its supposed to be uncomfortable for you so that you can get a slight idea of the discomfort they are going through. To let some of these people tell it, the only way they would like the protests is if they did it silently and in private. SORRY, it doesnt work that way, its not even supposed to. I do have a suggestion though, try some empathy.
