So let me update everyone on the potential late week storm since I am a NY giants fan and can not watch football right now. It is very complex and nothing is set in stone. A low will develop out over the Atlantic ocean. models have hinted that it would track NW and come into our region which would result in rainfall late week. Now, do I believe it right now? NOPE! That is why I did not mention it in this early Am forecast. For the models to pick this up so early and say we are getting rainfall late week is a red flag for me. Why? Well we have been down this road before. Remember 7-10 days ago others hype of a storm hitting our region and I said it would stay off the coast? what happened? people want to model hug which his fine but that is not my style. Now could we get rain at the end of the week? yes but I want to get into the medium range with several model runs before putting it in our forecast. If he high pressure is strong enough it will stay off the coast. Again models are just for guidance. just ask the gulf coast residents about the uncalled for hurricane watch down there when it was clear dry air and win sheer would kill "Karen". So bottom line is we will keep an eye on it and will update accordingly. Sorry for the long explanation but I just want to know where we are coming from. Enjoy the rest of your Sunday . - Adam
