So lets say you decide to enter into a partnership on a new company with a friend. From the moment you hear about the opportunity you are sold on it. You have been thinking long and hard about this for a long time and you know that starting your own company is what you want and THIS is the partner you want to do it with. The first few years into it things seem to be going well, you both seem to be putting the same amount of work and money into it, the company is profitable and you both are happy with the results. After a few years you decide it is time to expand the company and hire a few employees, you dont want to go too fast, so you hire 1 at first, then another a couple years later. The company is finally everything you dreamed it would be. For years things go smoothly, then one day out of the blue your partner says he is not happy anymore, he needs more out of life than just this one venture and it is time he make himself happy, because in fact he hasnt been happy for years. You know that dissolving the Company affects so much more than just you and your partner, it affects the employees lives and their families as they have been will you for a very long time.
