So many amazing International Films again this year at the Palm Springs Film Festival....just a few of the worthy ones I was able to catch....The harrowing 24 Days, the true story of a tragic Anti Semitic kidnapping in Paris , Red Army, a fascinating documentary about Hockey in Russia before and after the fall of the Soviet Union, 71, starring Jack OConnell (Unforgiven)..a taut, edge of your seat drama about the Protestant/Catholic conflict in Ireland, The Perfect Dictatorship, A brutal satire from Mexico about that countrys on going corruption, and Timbuktu, a startling tale about the occupation of islamic Fundamentalists in this Mailian city.....all fascinating films that may not find distribution...Go and support Independent films and this extraordinary festival!..And so much fun...my friend on stilts thought so too!
