So many dog owners struggle with their dogs around daily household chores and appliances. So part of our real world dog training is taking the opportunity to work dogs around the vacuum cleaner. Here Im starting off Seven in the crate just to gauge her reaction to it and if everything goes well shell move on to her place board while I vacuum around her. The goal is to desensitized her to the sight, smell and sound of it and make her realize that just like any other distractions, she needs to ignore and stay calm around it.
