So many little things in the papers today I dont know how to - TopicsExpress

So many little things in the papers today I dont know how to start. Maybe with dates. So penguins were stored in NLB in 2005 then dusted off for a review in 2009 and taken off in 2014. In-between, I wonder how many kids borrowed it out. Another date which you might have missed: MIndef leased land from PUB in 1971 at $68 a year, then sub-let to a contractor for $45 a year. In 2000, contractor was privatised. In 2001, it asked PUB to update lease to bring in line with market, PUB did so in JUNE THIS YEAR. Talk about working at glacial speed. So MIndef now pays $5.43m in rent, and contractor pays $830,000. The private contractor, in other words, really got value for money!!! Mindef qualifier: contractor was still doing most of his business with Mindef...so not SOLELY commercial. Wonder which contractor....
