: So many negative posts and reactions to the death of Robin Williams and it saddens me. Please understand that suicide is not the easy way out nor is it an act of cowardice. Its the mark of a person struggling for so long that they let go. Depression shaming has occurred so frequently in our society that we think its okay to call people who experience it or suicidal thoughts weak or label them as cowards. Perhaps instead you should try and picture life from their perspective and realize they tried to be strong for too long on their own... We need more help and more resources NOT more shaming or ridicule. Before you open your mouth to condemn him realize that you can not determine whats bad enough for someone or what someones limits are... Pray for them but do not judge them. Reach out to them but do not belittle their struggle. My prayers and thoughts are with his family and all others who have lost someone to this terrible disease.
