So many of us pray earnestly for situations we encounter. Do we always remember to tell God thank you? For many months, while Ms. Mary Sue waited for a major surgery for her heart, we all prayed. We prayed at home, in our cars, when we woke in the morning, when we went to bed at night. We had special prayers at church. We prayed before her surgery and while her surgery was taking place. Those prayers were desperate calls of help to a God we had to completely trust in. When the doctors finally came out Friday night to say all went well, we all cried years of joy. And then immediately, our pastor had us form a circle around that waiting room in order to pray a prayer of Thanksgiving. And WOW what an awesome prayer that was. We thanked God for hearing us and for answering. It was powerful, and made a lot of us think. I read once that if the only prayer you ever pray is thank you , then you have prayed a very simple, but most powerful prayer. So thank you Jesus for repairing our Marys heart. Thank you that Beth Oxendine didnt go in labor during her moms surgery, thank you for traveling mercies to all who came and thank you that there was a Chicos and a shoe warehouse on the way home. Remember ....God says gives thanks in ALL things. Dont forget to say thank you! Were thanking God that she made it through this serious surgery. OUR God is AWESOME!!!
