So many of you have responded to my request to help one of my friends in Phoenix. For those that might have missed my post this past Friday: a young woman, Jillian, lost her job several months ago and has been turned down many times due to her "too much experience". She has drained all sources of income that she had and does not qualify for assistance based on various criteria she does not meet. She is also an animal rescuer, jumping into her car at all hours of the night and going out to hunt for dogs that have been seen roaming around. She is always there for anyone who needs help and is a quite proud woman who has now reached out. She is not asking for donations. Instead she is selling EVERYTHING she owns, even her bed and car, to pay her rent and catch up on her bills. It is I, who is asking for donations for her. Cash for rent and gas, payment toward utility bills (APS, SW Gas and Water (city of Phoenix), food for her foster dogs and her own dogs and a few cats. Gift cards to Walmart, gas stations, anything that she could use on a daily basis for necessities. She needs to eat, too, so the Walmart gift card would be used for both herself and her babies.
