So many people are trying to flee, but we will stay here! We will fight to defend our land and our way. Its a shame and a disappointment to see people run away and hide. As artists, as doctors, as grocers, as laborers, as human beings who still hold decency, morality, civility, dignity and respect in the highest regard, we here in Erbil will not run from ISIS! Death is death, today or tomorrow could be anyones last day here, its inevitable. But how you die, and the moments that lead up to your passing are what give meaning to it. Living your life with honor and dignity makes for an honorable death. To stand up against oppressive forces in the face of your own mortality for the betterment of your people is one of the most honorable ways to live and to pass.
