So many people didnt like Google Glass becuase of its ability to record people. Its interesting how that perception works in denial. In most commercial area people are recorded all the time. Now with an app you can do it so no one knows you are. This is an App: Alibi gives regular citizens the power to have a second set of eyes—an objective witness in any contentious situation—by recording audio, video, still photos and location in the background of your mobile device. After an hour, the app will erase all data, unless you deem it worthy to save to your internal storage—locally and securely—by clicking a button. A recent yearlong study by the Rialto, CA police force and criminology experts showed that when officers knew they were being filmed, there was a 60 percent drop in the number of times an officer used force and there was an 88 percent decline in the number of complaints filed against officers. In instances when police have body cameras, Alibi provides a second perspective, offering a more detailed picture of an incident. In incidents where a police department cannot afford to pay the $1,800 per body camera and the $80,000 per year for the accompanying recording software, Alibi may be the only completely objective witness.
