So many people have been sharing memories about that day. Id like to talk about the aftermath for people who were too young. I fell into an (untreated) depression. It was the first time I didnt feel safe. Lots of others had similar experiences. Our entertainment industry didnt know what to give us. Magazines published all sorts of comfort food recipes. People went to church who had never gone. You had to be a little but scared to be in any sizable crowd. College football, etc. People were afraid to visit NYC for the normal holiday season. I traveled on a plane in 9/01. The airports were empty. None of the Vegas slot machines were paying out because nobody visited. No lines at Disney. People had all kinds of flag decorations out with their pumpkins (it was confusing). People changed priorities and entire course of lives.
