So many people question the actions of law enforcement, especially when it comes to the use of deadly force. There are those who, no matter what the Police do, think they are wrong. Watch this video and then watch it again, and again, and again if you need to. What do you see? Some see the Officer shoot a man who had just put down a rifle and would question his actions. But if you look again, you will see a criminal who acts as though he is surrendering, only to pull a concealed handgun from his waistband. The cover Officer saw the man aggressively pull the gun and acted to stop the threat. THIS is what I faced alongside my Brothers and Sisters in law enforcement during my career, and it is what those who continue to serve face each and every day with frighteningly increasing frequency. Some in society still seek to vilify law enforcement for upholding the law and, heaven forbid, acting so that they may stop threats to the innocent and in the course of doing so, go home safe to their family and friends. Husbands, wives, brothers, sisters, sons and daughters....munity volunteers, neighbors who are always there for you....the good Samaritan who would help a stranger in need....your fishing buddy or the couple you see walking along the beach holding hands.....this is who we are. Please, if you come across a Police Officer today, take a moment and thank them for their selfless service and let them know you support them. I means more than you know. Proud to have served and worn the uniform and grateful to all who have and do. God Bless and protect our nations law enforcement.
