So many people question when a loved one is taken. We ask why, when weve prayed for their healing, do they still die. Isaiah 57 says: ...and no one understands that the righteous are taken away to be spared from evil. Those who walk uprightly enter into peace; they find rest as they lie in death. I just found that interesting this morning and thought Id share. Death is never an easy thing to deal with, it is hard to let go of those we love; I miss my dad every day, and am always plagued that I have no idea what his standing was with The Lord when he died. I do find some comfort that nearby his body was a book hed been reading about Jesus. I believe he was seeking, finally, after a life wrought with sin- he had a few heart attacks, the first should have killed him. Maybe God was waiting to take him until hed finally reached out to his Savior. God doesnt desire for anyone to perish- and even if we only turn and seek Him truly with our last breath, He will pull us to Him. Have a blessed day everyone.
