So many people think that eating solely plant-based foods is not healthy and are still convinced that meat, dairy, fish and eggs are a necessary part of our diet. Often when they learn that somebody is vegan the immediate reaction is to question how on earth they get their nutrients from plants. But as this video shows, by eating a varied diet containing plenty of fruit, vegetables, nuts, seeds and wholegrains, it is extremely easy to get all the nutrients we require - and more goodness besides - with the added bonus that plant-based foods contain no saturated animal fat, no cholesterol and none of the acidifying effects of animal derived foods. *Please note that we have missed out Vitamin D as adequate amounts can be obtained from exposure to sunlight and also vitamin E as plant based sources are naturally significantly higher than animal derived sources.
