So many things come to mind when reading stats on here. I am wondering how come, all of a sudden, there are the complaints of so many things needed on reservations, when the name of the redskins was the topic? In my opinion, shouldnt those other topics have been dealt with before? What does a name of a sports name have to do with that? I dont know what anyone received or didnt receive from the sport organization. I just know from reading stats that, this is a completely different topic. Why put all those problems on a rez & combine it with the name?? And whomever accepted those gifts or whatever they are, accepted them, so if they didnt want them, Why not say, Sorry but we dont want this or that etc. etc. Yes there are many issues of most reservations, within the US and Canada. If the people within the reservations accept what is going on, then they should be mindful of where any help is coming from and capitalize on it, not throw it back on the organizations face. It would be like accepting a gift from someone and you turn around and talk about them after they have left. They didnt give me a Pendleton, that is what they should have given me! LOL AND why werent these problems spoken about before, now all of sudden people are complaining of what that organization should have given??? And besides, that name was given to the sports team from a Native American many years ago, I heard. So why didnt people complain then? Every team that has anything to do with natives should change their names too? Even rifles have an indian name.... Savage! Cleveland Indians!, etc. etc. Are people going to complain about that? Why only choose one, choose them all if that is the case!! I am just saying what is on my mind. Some may not agree and some may agree.
