So medical advice time! I have had a lump on my lower back/hip for a few years now. My back gets in severe pain and my left leg gets in pain and I even have collapsed a few time in the last few years (once in the shower and needed my friends to help me get out, rather embarrassing). The pain has never gone away but sometimes it gets better for awhile and then crushing pain comes back. I limp around a lot and hold my back. Its my back, left hip and left leg and foot. Ask my friends I look like im sixty when I walk or try to stand up. I have seen 4 doctors in the past few years and they have done nothing but shove pain meds at me and have me leave. One said I may have root nerve damage in my spine but never did anything about it. The lump on my hip concerns me only because my father died at a youngish age from cancer. I dont know what to do anymore. I am tired of them saying nothing is wrong when obviously there is something very wrong. The pain gets so bad I almost puke. I know I should see and am looking for a spinal specialist but do any of you have any knowledge about what might be wrong with me or how to help the pain? I have resorted to using a cane around my house which actually helps but I dont want to need a cane at my age. Please, any advice would be greatly appreciate!
