So much music is cookie-cutter sounding. I am not one to listen - TopicsExpress

So much music is cookie-cutter sounding. I am not one to listen to music much, but I do tend to like singers with unusual voices, that don’t sound like someone manufactured for mass consumption. Nothing wrong with that of course, if music touches you, listen to it.....each generation has its own music. We have to learn to listen to music, so when I say some music is cookie-cutter is is because I dont know how to listen to it. I am a fan of Macy Gray and Everlast, both great singers in my mind. Here is a song by Macy that I love to listen to once in a while when I feel in a dark mood. It always brings a little light. Once in a dream as I was walking a child started to sing, it was in a tone that was unusual in its depth, it made my heart expand in ways that I cant explain. I guess that is what music is for. With Everlast, he has been around a long time. He was a rapper, and I do like some rap. His best song for me is no one knows what it is like. Another song, very different is called stone in my hand. youtu.be/0qX7ZsxD3Ik
