So much to be thankful for this morning...first, a safe tip to and from Tulsa, with Stephanie Soule riding shotgun, being a terrific navigator through the Tulsa traffic, and keeping me awake on the the long drives. Next, for my wonderful students Tamara Bray and Stefania Moehring, for their had work, unflagging enthusiasm, and teamwork to keep horses and ME on track and focused, while also pursuing Tamaras quest for a Championship jacket-she missed her belt buckle by only the slimmest of margins, which is a huge accomplishment for her first time in the Big Sandbox! Stefania, you are the absolute BEST! Next, for my wonderful and very patient horses, who performed to their absolute best and tolerated being hauled out for evening awards when all the really wanted was to eat their suppers. Last, to the officers and staff of WDAA, Guy Brown, Karen Homer-Brown, Ellen DiBella, Deirdre and AnnMarie and to Darrell Bilke, Color Breed Congress Manager for their well organized and spectacular show. A 350% increase in attendance in one year is a huge but wonderful logistics problem and one that they all handled with remarkable efficiency. BRAVO for a job well done! Hard to believe its all over and that yesterday a this time I was packing the trailer in Tulsa-a remarkable, delicious, FUN, FUN, FUN show, and so wonderful to see all the friends that I have made over the past year. Congrats to all who came and played, and I hope to see you again very soon!
