So much was said about these pictures in the past. Today, I display them to know what you think. Diana Finda Konomanyi, Minister of Local Government is now married to Mr. Alie Kabba the founder of RUF, a rebel group that was behind the war in Sierra Leone. Also seen here in the picture smiling is Alhaji Tejan Kabba, the former President of Sierra Leone and father of the bridegroom. While the bride appears consumed in her thoughts of the past, she wonders what marriage is all about. Below, a stoned face President Koroma expresses disappointment; perhaps losing his handpicked ‘Special Minister’ to the founder of RUF is too much for him to bear. Thus heightens the marginalisation of Kono even further down the peaking order. Diana starts her new life as a married woman away from her usual runnings, would she work in the interest of her people and District or she would continue to play her usual political hypocrisy to hinder development of Kono? President Koroma used Diana to unsettle Kono politics and undermine development. The young lady with a brain of a mouse, fall for Koroma’s bait. The bait has destroyed Kono. As Diana departs from the crutches of President Koroma; Sylvia steps into Diana’s role to serve the same purpose Diana used to do. Good luck to them; but time will tell as no authority is bigger than the people. If I am lying ask Laurent Gbagbo, the former President of Ivory Coast who is now cooling his heels in the Hague Correctional Centre for crimes against humanity. I believe Koroma’s days will be worse than Gbagbo for sowing the seeds of discord and marginalising Kono District. President Koroma has extended his envy for Kono to Sam Sumana. It is a shame on the President that he has no reason to show for his hate for Kono and Sam Sumana. Anyway, though I was born in Kono but this is a serious issue for the people of Kono whether they will allow Koroma to use and dump them like a piece of waste; we wait and see.
