So my Beautiful Family tried to surprise me with a small party for my 40th B-day yesterday under the guise of watching the Game... I have the Knowies though, so I knew. The day was weird ... felt like it was off all day. While at my sisters they got a message that my sisters Husbands grandmother was not doing well so we cut it all short for them to get up there. Then minutes after my parents left to go back to Butler, got a phone call from them they had been in an accident. The car is totaled. They are fine very sore, but fine. Anyways I am going to choose to focus on the blessing instead of the negative feelings associated with yesterday. First and most of all, I am beyond Grateful for the protection around my parents yesterday. Next I am beyond grateful it happened close and Ada and I were able to get to them quickly since it was just a few miles away. I am also thankful the other parties involved were not hurt, and that everyone was pleasant and kind. I am extremely thankful for every member of my family. To my Sister, her Hubby, my daughter, and my husband for trying so sweetly to surprise me, and making me feel so loved everyday. My family means the world to me each and everyone of them. And I think I would be lost without any of them. So I am going to say I am thankful for the reminder to hug, and kiss them all yesterday and tell them. As strange of a reminder it was. I am also thankful for the Quiet that followed taking my parents home and getting them settled. My sister and I rode home and had a conversation, you know the kind that means a lot. In the crazy of all of our lives and families and kids we all know what matters most in this life, we all know who matters most in life, and we all know the rest of them... well we just need to pray very hard for the evil in this world. It exists, in many ways, shapes, and forms. But God knows us inside and out and that is what matters. I am also Thankful for Toms Family. They are mine too ;) I will proudly claim each and everyone of them. They are good people plain and simple and in a world where evil exists all around I know these are my people. The ones God intended for me to have in my life, for many reasons. So all in all very weird day But I am Thankful to walk this earth one more day and blessed to be able to Love all the people I do.
