So my almost 9 yr od daughter and I just had a little argument. She decided to throw attitude in my direction. So naturally, I have to let her know whos boss. I stop her in her tracks and explain to her how shes completely out of line and how I wont tolerate it. Suddenly were having a stare-down. And I hate it of course, because theres absolutely nothing in me that WANTS to be angry or upset, but I HAVE to win this stand-off because I have to let her know that Im in charge. Suddenly the sides of her mouth begin to turn upward and I can tell shes holding back an emotion. Next thing you know, she and I are both laughing hysterically, and shes hugging me and apologizing to me for her behavior! And were both telling each other how much we love each other.
