So my doctor barely escaped this afternoon. Hes another in a succession of good-looking young doctors, male and female, Ive had at this clinic. Hes ridiculously photogenic. With his blue eyes, black hair, and neat fringe beard, he could totally play the Dashing Airship Captain in some Steampunk adventure movie. And since he rejoices in the resplendent name of Galen Loughrey (gee, his parents didnt decide early he was going to be a doctor or anything, did they?) his character could even have the same name he does. He asked what I did for a living. I told him. He asked for my opinion as an insider on the merits of self-publishing through Amazon. I answered, truthfully, that I can see both pros and cons there. As I warmed to the explanation, he got this utterly hunted look in his eyes: Oh my god what have I let myself in for? Luckily for him, I spotted it in time. I laughed and said Id spare him any more. I can definitely talk about it a lot longer than you care to listen. He seemed grateful. (Also, no, I do not care to discuss the merits and demerits of self-publishing through Amazon here. Thank you for your cooperation. Dont make me come over there.)
