So my father in law has played on his Line 6 Variax for over 10 years and loves it. However, a few months back, it literally started smoking at rehearsal. Motherboard fried (its a modeling guitar), and Line 6 no longer services the model. So, he bought an Epi 339 Ultra and loves it, but he still wanted to get the Line 6 working. I tossed him the idea of putting regular passive pickups in it (the ONLY pickup in it stock is a piezo under the bridge). He let me take on the project, and here are the results! (Yes, I know there arent strings on it in the pic - I couldnt wait)
