So my fellow like-minded Georgians. MID TERM ELECTIONS for the Federal Senate is coming up: NOVMEBER 4, 2014. Now, I know you guys are like myself: not pleased with EITHER party and know its all a bunch of horse shit to begin with - so why vote? Why care when your interests are ignored to begin with? I will tell you my opinion. There is one party in the United States of America that is pretty much bank rolled by the majority of US national and international corporations. Sure, both parties are getting vast sums of money from these companies, but ONE party in particular has a whole suite of companies with very very VERY strong interest in making sure THEIR party gets in control of everything from State Governments to the highest seat in the nation. These companies that bank roll THAT party has used ALEC to write discriminatory voting laws for states so they make it harder for minorities to vote. These companies have given vast sums of money to state AND city governments in an attempt to takeover and gerrymander districts to make sure THEIR party stays in control and is protected for the next DECADE. These companies have lobbied THEIR representatives in state and federal congresses to build private prisons and toughen laws that disproportionately affect the poor and minorities. These companies created through independent representatives the organization of many state Tea Parties in order to get nationalist/pro-capitalist crazies in office that will do their bidding (for a fee). These companies and THEIR party has led a full throttle un-abashed effort to ensure their interested ALWAYS comes before the citizen. No ifs, ands, or buts. These companies believe you do not know what is good for you and youre just number - a product - in a larger design that takes priority over your small life. If you dont know who or what Im talking about - then you dont matter right now: go catch up on contemporary politics and policy and come back. If you DO know who Im talking about then I want to say it is VERY important we keep the federal government in its current divide. The party of corporatist in the House and the party of blow-smoke-up-your-ass in the Senate and Presidency. As citizens it is NOT in our interests to let the Legislative body of government be controlled by RepubI ... I mean: corporatist. If you think civil liberties are under assault now ... you just wait till they get the six or so Senate seats they need this NOVEMBER. These will be the good old times in a decade or two. This means voting for any other party besides THEIR party in my book. Go green. Go libertarian. Go with the smoke blowers. Hell, if you are a bigot, write in your Grand Wizard for all I care. BUT... if you stay home and twiddle your fingers in NOVEMBER - like THEIR party hopes you do, then most of the nations governments, from state seats to the House, to the Senate, to the Supreme Court will be in their hands and they will make sure it stays that way ..... FOREVER. Dont let them fool you. They are in control of most state governments. They control the house because of it. They want you to believe the other side controls things, but they do not. MAKE SURE YOU MARK YOUR CALENDARS and go vote for somebody - anybody BUT their people.
