So my room mate is out with some friends once again celebrating his birthday. I decided to take him out yesterday and treat him. I get to live in a glorious home, with my dog, for an incredibly modest rent- with my own room, bathroom, office and ample storage space. He also has morphed into a combination of older brother and best friend over the years. His wife left him after twenty three years- and, well, you know my story. I could have joined the boys tonight and partaken in pizza, beer and cake but I decided to spend the night with my dog Winston. I try to spend one of my two days off a week doing this. I swear he knows this in some level. And i also get the house to myself- including the tv. Which means i can watch whatever i want to.
