So my sister in law had her first book published. Cool right. I wanted to read it just cause we are family and that is what family does, we support each other. So I pre-ordered the book on Amazon months ago and waited wondering if it was any good. Then I read the book this past weekend. Truly a remarkable book. The underlying theme of the book for me is the emotion and pain of mental illness. We have all had a grandmother or grandfather go through Alzheimers and forget us, or known someone who has dealt with psychological scars of trauma or abuse. The book explores those emotions and pain in a creative and positive way. I found myself emotional not over the story of the book but in how it reminded me of people I have loved. So I cannot recommend more The Unhappening of Genesis Lee by Shallee McArthur to all my friends who like to read. And if you ask nice I can even introduce you to the author :)
