So my son is running late to catch the bus because he wants to tell something. Im starting to get nervous about him missing the bus when he say, mommy, thank you for making my lunch today. I thought, aww that was nice. Thats the first time hes ever thanked me. But then he says, and mom, Me: (*sigh) yes honey Son: Mom, one of the counselors at school told us that his parents only bought him one pair of red pants for the whole school year Me: Okay.... Son: Thanks mom for buying me pants. You know, more than one. Okay, I love you. Bye Me: *heart melt* I love you too! I hardly ever hear my kids genuinely be thankful! It makes my job as a mom: rewarding. :D
