So need a reference / recommendation: what kind of specialist should I see about a probable hernia and who in particular would you recommend if you have needed to see someone about one? I do not mean a surgeon at this point but someone more objective but verg knowledgeable about options and best diagnostic tests/ practices to help me confirm whag it is and how serious it is. I have not done any research on hernias yet and am only going in instinct from the vague general knowledge I think I have of them at this point and a couple very major and obvious symptoms. Sk certainly I am going to see my primary and get his input but the reason I am asking for names now is if they throw out two or three specialists names I would feel better if I had also heard one of the same names come up from several of you my friends in this area, too, and had your experience input from a patient perspective.
