So needless to say Argentina is big, the 8th biggest country in the world and the largest Spanish speaking country in the world. The name is derived from a Latin word meaning silver for the indigenous tribes that wore silver. More than 15 million Argentines live in BA making it one of the 20th largest cities in the world. The city is divided into 48 barrios or districts and our hotel CasaSur was in the Ricoleta district. It is a lovely older residential district famous for its European architecture and historical cemetary (more to follow on that!) I would say CasaSur is more of a boutique hotel with just 3 rooms per floor, 13 floors total. Rooms were smallish but the biggest concern for me and everything I packed was that the closet space was itsy-bitsy! ;)
