So, net neutrality. Have they finally killed it? Im seeing stuff about the end of free and fast access to information, and the implementation of a two-tiered internet. Im getting this creeping feeling that they are trying to push us back to the bad old days. Specifically within the context of music, Im thinking this could be the end of free & fast hosting for bands/musicians like me. I mean, will bigger artists be able to stream higher quality music, at higher speeds and to a wider range of devices because they/their label/distributor can afford the ISPs fees? I dunno. Maybe Im assuming the worst. But this stinks of bad news for everyone. At the very least its gonna make Netflix more expensive. And Im already paying extra to get around their ass-backwards regionalisation. Bleh.
