So nice to hear from so many FB friends and family. I simply love you guys. Been a good day. Dan brought Ben down to visit for a while and Chad & Deb had dinner for all of us. Oh, that wonderful corn on the cob fresh out of the garden along with a beef roast surrounded by potatoes and carrots out of the garden, homemade bread, etc. Tried to control myself a bit since eating too much is hard on my shortness of breath. Been walking around a lot today without running out of gas (meaning not getting short of oxygen), will never manage to run out of the other kind of gas, seems it just keeps on increasing with age. LOL! Hey out there to my Lough clan. Want to tell you, and I will speak plainly now, I really scared the hell out of myself at the hospital the first evening I got out of ICU and moved into a step down unit. I struggled (with help) to get to the bathroom. Had to rest after getting there, then was leaning against the sink trying to breathe, glanced around and looked in the mirror and there was Dave Lough (my late dad) looking back at me. I never realized how much I look like dad and always thought I favored mom more. Wow, with the face swollen from both the steroids and the central line, yep, old David himself. Now Ben, Dan and Chad said they could have told me how much I looked like dad even a couple years back but just assumed I knew it. Wow, that was scary. LOL. Well, I certainly havent managed to catch up with whats going on in your lives that youve posted on here but I think about all of you and care about your joys and heartaches too.
