So now Durhams City Council promises to reign in the police department. Ok well, they promise to train the officers on racial sensitivity and constitutional basics. Forgive me if I sound cynical as hell---cynicism is required when youre evaluating city council promises to make police kinder and gentler. I do want to give a shout-out to all my folks in the local community organizations who worked damned hard to get these basic changes from Durhams government.
