So now I am giving you a new commandment: Love each other. Just as I have loved you, you should love each other. (NLT) ( John 13:34 ) This verse just means the ones I already like doesnt it? Oh come on!!!! Really? Lol. Oh I can see some of you saying just this. Yes really really. Pucker up buttercup. Guess what? You just might be being asked to get out of your comfort zone a bit on this one. Lol. So what does love look like? Well it may look different in different settings. It could be seeing a elderly lady walking her cart to her car full of groceries and offering to help put them in her car, it could be filling up someones gas tank (even though they drive a full size SUV), it could mean just taking the extra time and listening to someone share, letting someone sitting at a stop sign go as you have also been sitting there forever waiting for a light to change, carrying a quart ziplock that has a snack pack full of goodies for someone you just see needing a snack, giving a random hug to a few extra people today, sending a few private messages to random people on your friends list just because and and and.... There you have a few ideas. What else would you suggest or do? List some below so others can see fun ways to spread love in a healthy way. Folks they will know you by one thing, LOVE. Easy to suggest from a pulpit but not often modeled like it should. I pray Crazy Faith is known for their love. Read below for a different take on this verse. Love you. Chief. In a time when politics abound and culture is at war with itself, how do we react? Should we jump in the middle, pick a side, and point fingers? Do we volley attacks at our own brothers and sisters who think differently? The first rule of thumb is to not pass judgment. Then, seriously determine what is the most loving response, one that would inspire others. Couldnt this world use a bit more love? Download this app to get your daily devotions: jctrois
