So now Ive got this Canon 5D Mk3 and 70-200L IS F2.8 that is just scrap metal and melted polished sand due to Freak wave accident (see my timeline [4th Oct] - losing a camera was the least of my concerns - I nearly lost a daughter!). Nearly 2 weeks on its too hard to just throw it in the bin (and given I had no insurance its a bit painful seeing it just sit there). So Im thinking what can I do with it? Any ideas? So far Ive come up with: 1) Make a vast fortune from YouTube advertising impressions by making a (spoof) video on How to change your DSLR lens underwater (Ill film at local swimming pool - using a waterproof camera this time). 2) Lay camera on its back (screen down). Take lens off. Fill mirror compartment with potting mix and grow a flower out of it. 3) Leave it at a cafe and secretly film who steals it or hands it in to the Police. Any other brain waves? :D
