So now if Soldier makes the ultimate sacrifice......his family is not taken care of ?????????????? 1 - Soldiers will receive their regular pay on the 1st and 15th as a result of the "Pay our Military Act." 2 - Soldiers will not receive any other type of payment until a "Continuing Resolution" or "National Defense Authorization Act" is passed. This includes the following types of payments: Death Gratuities Casual Pays Advance Pays Separation Payments Travel Payments Travel Advances 3 - Soldiers who are in the process of PCSing will have to use their own funds, as a travel advance or pay advance is not currently authorized. However, a Soldier may apply for a Government Travel Charge Card to assist with their authorized PCS costs. 4 - Soldiers can still come to the finance office to pay off debts, such as a statement of charges or travel debts. 5 - The Defense Military Pay Office (DMPO) is still open to assist Soldiers with any issues through customer service, in/out processing, separations, debt management, and processing.
