So...now that KKKSterling has been neutered and the commish is hell-bent on forcing him to sell...The line is forming to the left on possible buyers...One group making public statement of intent to buy is a doozy...It seems rappers Rick Ross and Diddy ( or whatever he calls himself these days) want to become NBA owners...That would be a TOTAL disaster!!..those two dudes are the black version of KKKSterling...Both on many occasions have launched into tirades about cracker this and white mother#%€£ that...Diddy is on record as saying he likes it when crackers get killed...they are offered this liberty because they are artists who have total freedom of expression...That notion is universally accepted and I support it...BUT...owning a professional franchise is presenting yourself as the gatekeeper of a public trust...With that comes certain obligations...loose cannons like Diddy and RRoss could never be trusted on toning down the kill the white man battle cries...But the main obstacle is the fact that there is NO WAY the other owners would approve that group for ownership...remember...what is the makeup of NBA owners??...middle age white guys...Most arent fans of rap music and especially rappers...those dudes dont have a chance to buy the team...and thats good news...They would embarrass themselves, their team, and the league...as stated above...they are the black opposite of KKKSterling...racism works both ways...Traditionally rap music is a free-forum to vent frustration and anger at the white establishment...I get it...and I support their right to attack...but managing an NBA team will take that right away...and I totally support that...semi evidence is the profane, hate-filled rant of Snoop Dog ( or lion something...I cant keep up with rapper names)...That reaction is not commensurate to an NBA owner...but thats the hip-hop manner and method...Much like KKKSterling, rappers are who they are ...most are a product of tough upbringings and their attitude and opinions of white folks are deeply cemented...much like an 81 year old lifetime bigot...Neither camp is ever gonna change...For the better or worse...its not in eithers DNA. I think the Clippers will be sold within six months...The new owners will not come from the rap stages...that would only continue the plantation mentality only with different characters...and I know that JayZ is a minority owner of the Nets...I said minority...He doesnt own the team outright...RRoss and Puff Daddy made it clear they want a 100% stake...That will never happen...So may we please cease with this silly talk...Not sure who the new owner might be but I predict this: the new owner will be white, 50-60 years old...and a billionaire...not sure any rappers qualify... The element of this whole charade is the fact that in 2014 we have undisputed proof that racism is alive and well...its illuminated for all to see...To me, thats the crime...
