So now that this is, effectively, the start of the New Year... first day back at work for many, and school for the offspring... it is time to welcome all the lovely new guests to the Manor, and to express my gratitude for those who have been here for some time. Well done for successfully traversing the moat...The crocs are usually a little feisty over the holiday season because the D(y)uke keeps promising them treats. The interminable and yet binding legal contract you have to sign at the door (unending loyalty to the Duchess, blah blah blah) goes much more palatably if you just sign it and head straight for the vodka. If you hear growling, its probably the D(y)uke..he is somewhat anti-social, but weve decided to consider it charmingly eccentric. A word to the wise, dont laugh at his new haircut. The Duchess was disloyally hysterical for most of the day on Saturday... one tried not to, but truthfully darlings, he looks like hes had an alarming encounter with a lawnmower. Naturally the D(y)uke has determined that the barber is a sewer, and wants to invite him over to visit the piranha pond... Thank you all so much for visiting Darlings.The drivel will be served both hot and cold, and vodka is always available. The Duchess bows...
