So, observing law enforcement in the States. Youve got your local Police, then your State Troopers, then your Sherrifs. The latter seem to spend their time directing traffic at factory outlets, or sitting drinking coffe at roadworks, with their lights flashing. JUST IN CASE YOU DONT NOTICE ALL THE ORANGE BARRELS AND TRUCKS. No wonder theres so much crime in the US if thats what the resources are being used for. I dont know what theyre all doing INSTEAD of catching people doing 80 - 90 in the 55 mph zones. Occasionally theyll nab someone, but it seems to be a lottery wholl theyll choose. Then yesterday, I saw a patrol car for the....get this; Citizen Observation Department! Can you believe it?
