So often we understand the now aspect of salvation, but we - TopicsExpress

So often we understand the now aspect of salvation, but we struggle with what came previously. We have a hard time believing that Christ in His holiness would truly want the mess we were and so we say things like, From this point on.... We need to understand that He wants it all--every mistake, every wrong (ours and those done to us), every sin--and He owns it all! His death on the cross purchased our past, present and future. But we argue with Him about what needs to be repaired or replaced, certain that what we came with is far beyond His ability to fix. Trust me, dear one, He who is capable of raising the dead to life is capable of giving you a brand new one. I wish I could say that salvation means the end of hardship or struggle or even sin--it does not. But it is the glorious beginning of a new life; a life we will never have to do alone again.~He is The Scarlet Thread
