So on the first weekend in Paris, back in September, I thought - TopicsExpress

So on the first weekend in Paris, back in September, I thought there was stuff to see at where I stayed. Nope, it was a business district, so when the weekends hit, the place lost all the energy I saw during the weekdays. Then I told myself, Never Again will I lose one weekend away like this. I walked to the nearest train station to buy my tickets, to Lyon for the next weekend, which wasnt in my list of to go places in France, but I was desperate to get out. It was my first solo trip, and at that time, I thought I cant travel solo, I know I need to connect with people/friends, so I need to tell them how I feel and share my experiences. But I went to Lyon anyway, alone. Then on that friday night I met this german. Johann, who I saw a lot of myself in him, just much more quiet. He does philosophy, which I deeply identify with. And we shared a lot of silence, which was really comfortable even with a stranger/new friend. Watch 24 Lyon if you want to see more of him. The Weekend Travels series right there. Anyway... The french put up pianos in public spaces, like the train stations. This park however, had a grand piano. This was what we heard. Nice lake, awesome greenery, pleasant tunes all in one park. Cant ask for more from a walk in park.
