So, one of my children shattered my basketball Glass Backboard while shooting a bb gun. Lets just say it was a 6 year old girl and I will leave it at that. So kudos to my neighbor Dan Brown for helping me take it down and suggesting we just buy a new one. Well, Dicks Sporting goods didnt have it, but he researched and helped us find a new one and now we are back to playing ball in our back yard. I had to deduct 500.00 from my 6 year olds College Fund, but hey, Im making her earn that money back over the next few years so…………. On a related note, I am going to host a 3v3 b-ball tourney in late May or early June on a Friday from 5:00-8:30. I will finalize the details soon. 10.00 per person, with free throw and 3 PT contest and the winners getting some gift cards and then donating the CASH prize to a church or charity of their choice. No one has to make their team, we will make teams after you show up. Lessons learned with this Basketball Backboard Breaking event: Accidents happen, good neighbors are a blessing, arrows, knives, and spears can go through glass backboards too and never challenge your spouse to see if she can throw a spear through a broken glass backboard for 100.00. She will do it when money is on the line. : )
