So, one of my colleagues made an excellent point today. Why isnt this guy being charged with making terroristic threats? Hes making a very clear unequivocal and specific threat to protestors who were part of #BlackbrunchNYC. But no, this guy appears on CNN and his post is described as provocative. Hes pointing a real gun right at the camera! And, yet, in stark contrast, a 16 year-old boy gets arrested for posting a generic picture on facebook of a gun pointed at a cops head (which, if there is any question, I am obviously not condoning). Actually, Im not necessarily advocating that this guy should be charged (though this is a pretty intimidating tweet), I just think the inconsistency in application of the law is telling.
