So only now do we read online about altitude sickness which can kill you... Ive had serious altitude sickness when I climbed Mt Bisoke too quickly many years ago in Rwanda. Cusco is at 3400 metres and we flew here from sea level. We both seem fine now but yesterday we both had headaches and had to move in slow motion or risk fainting. This afternoon I triggered a full migraine but got through that and feel almost normal again. A reminder not to take altitude sickness lightly. Tomorrow we go down 1000 metres which should relieve some of the pressure.
