So parades in the US are pretty much about a bunch of people - TopicsExpress

So parades in the US are pretty much about a bunch of people jumping on a float at the last minute, waving, and people in the crowd making fun of them. IMO, they are boring. The big floats are cellphone companies, politicians, and their girlfriends with boob jobs. It Cuzco, they are parading incessently. In the center of the city, paraders are surrounded with tourists and their cameras, including my own. There are no "floats." People carry the floats, grunt like mad, and nobody sits atop except for wooden saints and virgins (who flirt with each other). Are the parades part of the tourist industry? Are the cameras incidental? I think through a few of these issues and post a small photo-set: bit.ly/18WAHCk
