So proud of the activist spirit around the nation and world. Kudos to St. Louis Rams players Stedman Bailey, Tavon Austin, Jared Cook, Chris Givens and Kenny Britt for showing their solidarity with the Ferguson protests, in the spirit of Olympians Tommie Smith and John Carlos, who raised their fists in 1968. As my late mother used to write in our civil rights memoir, Freedom in the Family: The Struggle Continues.
