So proud to be the son of an amazing teacher of the Word of God. My dad answered the call of God in 1974 and left the business world to make an impact in Toledo, OH. and around the world. My parents have pastored their one and only church since that year and now celebrate 40 years at the same church!! As a PK (preachers kid), Im so grateful they didnt just pack up and change churches like so many pastors do when it gets tough and the church struggles. I was privileged to stay in the same town and go to the same school while growing up in Toledo. My parents taught me to stick it out and face adversity head on and for the past 3 1/2 years I have had to do just that. Its during these times that you really learn who is with you, who supports you, who is a true friend and loves you through good times and bad. I have an amazing team that surrounds me and its because of my parents and my team that I have survived this extremely difficult bump in the road. Oh dont get me wrong.....Im not all doom & gloom because God is in control and He has an amazing 2015 planned for DayOne Music!!! Im rejoicing in the victory that we are about to experience. So many wonderful things have happened over the past year or so that was simply God telling us that He has our back. That He is in control. That He is a friend who sticks closer than a brother. I am so comforted knowing that today and its the foundation laid before me by my amazing parents that has kept me going through good times and bad. On Feb 21 my good friend John Maxwell is doing something that has just blown me and the DayOne team away. He is coming to Greensboro, NC to join us for a night of celebration. A night of celebrating all that God has done through our ministry and a night of looking forward to what He has in store for us!! I am soooo thrilled to see God orchestrate this entire situation and show His Love for me and the DayOne Team.....it is TRULY a love like no other. The website with all the information will go live tomorrow and will have all the details as well as ticket package info. In addition to John Maxwell and the DayOne Music Teams, we will also be joined by one of my dear friends Ricardo Sanchez who is a Grammy Nominated worship leader as well as my father Tony Scott.
