So proud to have been a part of this skatepark from the get go...when Steve Welsh heard the council wanted to put a skatepark in swift he told then Councilman Bill Thrash... You had better do it right then!!! And so began the Kennesaw Skatepark committee. Only a short ten years later it has come to a great fruition. So, today I wanted to take a moment and thank David Pies, Jeff Drobney and Doug Taylor and our entire parks and rec staff for making the Skate Copa event staff feel so welcomed in our park. Here is a great write up in Bordr. This company is a national firm who puts on skate competitions all over the country. Our park has made quite a fantastic impression. Thank you guys for all you do to give Kennesaw a great face on national level. (PS... This company is also in charge is the skate competition at the XGames in a few weeks so the word of mouth on our park throughout the skate community will be invaluable!)
