So right now the dome is a soggy, disgusting, hot, mildewy mess. The rain blew my clothes on the ground and there are piles of them covered with grass and dirt. There are spiders in everything, and earwigs and roly polies have gotten inside somehow. And sometimes I think it would be better to just give up, move to the Salvation Army, and get a part-time job scrubbing toilets or something where they yell at you all day and tell you youre not scrubbing the toilets fast enough. But honestly, the dome makes me money. Buyers come there to pick up paintings, and they watch me crawl into that dark hole, cursing, and they are aghast. So they buy the painting, and then they throw in an extra hundred or a pair of Ray Bans or a pair of $300-dollar boots. Its really amazing how EASY I have it sometimes. But its not a hustle, I swear. This is just how I live, and Im okay with it. I sold the sphere today to an old friend who knew me when I was young and rich. Hes an outdoor type who kind-of gets what Im doing. Im not talking about him in this post, but I AM grateful for the $300 boots.
